講演人/講座內(nèi)容簡(jiǎn)介:

       從目前的地基和空間望遠(yuǎn)鏡的最新發(fā)現(xiàn)講起,，思奎爾斯博士將介紹下一代的三十米望遠(yuǎn)鏡會(huì)如何使我們對(duì)宇宙的了解更進(jìn)一步,。目前三十米望遠(yuǎn)鏡已經(jīng)開(kāi)始進(jìn)入工程建造階段,，預(yù)計(jì)將于本世紀(jì)20年代初期建成。本次講座他將介紹三十米望遠(yuǎn)鏡項(xiàng)目的進(jìn)展情況,，特別是中國(guó),，印度，美國(guó),，日本,，和加拿大各自在其中發(fā)揮的獨(dú)特作用，以及各國(guó)之間合作的重要性,。

Recent discoveries with current-generation telescopes from around the Earth and in space will be highlighted with a sneak-peak of how the next-generation Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) will advance our understanding of the universe even further. TMT has entered the construction phase in Hawaii and across the TMT international partnership, with science operations scheduled to begin in the early 2020s. In this talk I will provide an update on the current status of TMT, discuss recent advances in Hawaii and around the world in the construction of TMT, and highlight the special nature of the unique partnership between China, India, the US, Japan and Canada.

• 講座免費(fèi)。有劇場(chǎng)票或展廳票的參觀(guān)者可乘新館展廳東西兩側(cè)的電梯到達(dá)505教室,；無(wú)劇場(chǎng)和展廳票的聽(tīng)眾憑有效證件（身份證,、學(xué)生證,、工作證等）于當(dāng)日下午2點(diǎn)后在售票處領(lǐng)票，從B館入口安檢后入場(chǎng),。

• 座位先到先得,，坐滿(mǎn)為止。

• 現(xiàn)場(chǎng)將提供翻譯,。
